You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write about the following topic.
Unplanned development of buildings is increasingly encroaching on green spaces in urban areas, leading to environmental and social problems. What are the causes of this trend, and what solutions can be implemented to address it?
Write at least 250 words
Task-01 Sample Answer
The diagram illustrates the process of recycling waste cotton and polyester fabrics into reusable materials like polyester, cotton fiber powder, and cellulose materials. The process involves several stages, starting with the collection of waste fabric and ending with the production of materials for reuse.
Initially, waste cotton or polyester fabric undergoes a dilute acid process, after which it is ground into smaller pieces. The ground material is then subjected to a sieving process, which separates it into two components: polyester and cotton fiber powder. Polyester is further processed and made suitable for reuse in film production.
The cotton fiber powder goes through a bleaching process to purify it. Afterward, it is used for CNC extraction, producing cellulose materials that can also be reused. Additionally, some of the bleached cotton powder is reused for further processing.
Overall, the recycling process effectively separates waste fabric into valuable reusable components, demonstrating a circular approach to managing textile waste.

Task-02 Sample Answer
The rapid and unplanned development of buildings has led to a significant reduction in green spaces, creating environmental and social issues. This trend is driven by several factors, but there are effective measures that can mitigate its impact.
One major cause is the growing demand for urban housing and infrastructure due to population growth and urbanization. Cities often prioritize development to accommodate this demand, neglecting the importance of preserving green areas. Additionally, weak urban planning regulations or enforcement allows developers to construct buildings indiscriminately, often prioritizing profit over sustainability. The lack of awareness about the long-term benefits of green spaces further exacerbates the problem.
The consequences of this trend are severe. Environmentally, the loss of green spaces reduces biodiversity, disrupts ecosystems, and exacerbates problems such as air pollution and urban heat islands. Socially, it limits recreational spaces for residents, affecting their physical and mental well-being.
To address these issues, governments must enforce strict urban planning regulations that mandate the preservation of green spaces. Introducing policies that incentivize sustainable development, such as green building certifications, can also encourage eco-friendly practices. Additionally, promoting public awareness about the importance of green areas can foster community involvement in protecting these spaces.
In conclusion, unplanned building development stems from urbanization and lax regulations, resulting in environmental degradation and social challenges. By implementing stricter policies and raising awareness, cities can balance development with sustainability, ensuring a healthier environment for future generations.
