Writing Task 1: Thanking a friend for a holiday

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You've just spent a few days staying with a longtime friend whom you hadn't seen in ages. Now, write a letter to convey your appreciation to your friend. In your letter:

• Share your feelings about the visit.

• Include an enjoyable activity during your stay with him/her.

• An invitation for your friend to visit you.

Write At least 150 words.

You do not need to write addresses.

Write about the following topic.

Many argue that governments allocate excessive funds to wildlife protection, while there are many other more pressing issues. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
